Hey man, I made a Game
I was asked to do a Lunch N' Learn at my office, and since I've been working on games using Microsoft's XNA Studio, I decided to teach everyone how to make games! Since I began using XNA just a few years ago I've started maybe 10 games, but never actually finished one. I always get incredibly close, then life gets in the way and I never come back to it. Last week I began a game to get ready for my presentation, and I'm happy to report that I finished it! Honestly, I'm not totally happy with it and I'll probably continue to tweak it for a little while at least, but the basic pieces are all in place and it's pretty neat! The game is Asynchrony Solutions Extreme Pong, and it's a simple advergame-like thing for my work. Click the image below to download the playable version!
If you're interested in making your own XNA games, here are the powerpoint and notes I used for my presentation. The powerpoint is essentially a breakdown of what XNA is, and the notes should be enough to walk you through making your own, simple version of Asynchrony Pong. There might even be a video up soon.

I'm also going to include the source code for the finished project, Asynchrony Solutions Extreme Pong. This probably isn't tight enough to release as open source, but if you want to see how certain things are done, there it is!

If anyone actually tries this stuff and runs into any problems along the way, please feel free to e-mail me at the link at the bottom or from the contact link in the top menu of this site for some help.
